Help

Quick answers.

No sound on an iPhone?

Check the volume and the silent switch. Jamori asks to play even in silent mode, but some iPhones still need the switch off. Then press Play once more.

How do I keep Jamori on my phone?

Add it to your home screen: on iPhone, Share then Add to Home Screen; on Android, the menu then Install app. It opens full screen and works offline after the first visit.

Where are my songs?

Home, then You, then My songs. They save themselves as you work. To keep a backup, save a song file under Song, then Share.

Will my songs disappear?

They are stored in your browser on this phone. Clearing your browser data removes them. On iPhone, Safari can clear a website's data after about a week without a visit unless it is on your home screen, so add it there or save song files.

My recording lands late

Open Jam, then Timing in the loop strip, and tap along to eight clicks. Jamori measures how late the sound reaches you (Bluetooth headphones add a lot) and corrects every recording on this phone.

How do I send a song to a friend?

Song, then Share, then Send to a friend. It sends the song itself, so they can open it in Jamori, change it and send it back.

Why does an export take as long as the song?

Jamori records your music in real time, so you hear it while it records. A three-minute song takes three minutes. Exports go up to 10 minutes.

Where are Patterns, Accent, Rolls and Fill?

On the Beat page, tap Tools next to Undo and Redo. When a mode such as Accent or Fill is on, a small button in the row shows it; tap it to turn the mode off.

Can I keep lots of my own sounds and use them anywhere?

Yes. Voice, then Library: import as many sounds as you like, or keep a recording from Record. Each one can play on any drum track, as an instrument on Lead, Keys or Bass, or as your vocal. Each song remembers which sounds it uses, and a saved song file carries them along.

Can I play drums with my fingers and record them?

Yes. Open Jam, choose Drums: the top row is kick, clap, hat and open hat, the bottom row is a hand drum you choose: tabla, conga, djembe or talking drum. Press Rec and play while the loop runs; each hit lands on the grid. In Full controls, Snap sets how much hits move to the beat: Full, Half or Off. To take something out while it plays, hold Erase and touch that pad.

How do I add a drum fill?

On a drum or PERC page, open Tools and tap Fill. Every step you tap now plays only in bar 4 of every 4. Ready-made fill adds one for you; Clear fill takes them out.

Can I play my own sound as an instrument?

Yes. Record a short sound with your phone's voice recorder, a "dun" or a "waa". On the Voice page tap Import a recording, then A sound, then the track that should play it.

What can I do with a recording of my voice?

On the Voice page, tap Record (or import a voice memo), trim it, and pick what it is. A tune turns a hum, a sung line or a whistle into notes. A beat turns beatboxing into drums. A vocal puts it on the VOX track, with effects like Giant (an octave down), Robot or Radio. Vocal chops cuts it into slices you play on the Jam pads. Claps sets the song's tempo from your claps. Every choice has play buttons, so you hear the result before anything goes into your song.

I cannot find Rolls, Chance and fills or the master settings

You are in Simple mode. Switch to Full controls under Home, then You, then Settings.

What are Today's groove and This week?

A new starting point with one small goal every day, and a challenge every week. They are optional; skipping one costs nothing.
